Cyber Security Architect

Role Overview

We are collaborating with a prominent financial institution seeking a senior Cyber Security Architect to lead secure technology strategy across a complex enterprise environment. This hands-on leadership position requires engagement with diverse business and engineering teams to define pragmatic end-to-end security solutions and provide architectural guidance on key change initiatives in a regulated sector. This senior-level role, located in Singapore, may extend up to Executive Director level.

Key Duties

• Provide leadership on security architecture input across significant technology projects and change programs, ensuring implementation of effective controls, system resilience, and appropriate security safeguards.
• Develop and uphold architecture principles, guidelines, and reusable patterns spanning cloud, infrastructure, application, identity, and data security spheres.
• Critically review design proposals and challenge solution decisions and implementation strategies to manage security trade-offs prior to execution.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, delivery, and platform teams to integrate secure design practices into transformational efforts as well as routine technology changes.
• Assist governance and risk discussions by translating technical security risks into actionable suggestions for both technology teams and broader business stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

• Significant expertise as a Cyber Security Architect, enterprise security engineer, or solution architect in sizable and regulated organizational contexts.
• Comprehensive understanding of critical security areas including cloud security, identity and access management, data protection, platform security, and security monitoring mechanisms.
• Demonstrated competence in constructing practical security architectures that effectively reconcile business demands, technical constraints, and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with risk-based architectural approaches, governance frameworks, and security standards frequently applied in regulated industries.
• Strong communication abilities and stakeholder management skills enabling influence over technical teams, project sponsors, and senior leadership.
