Role Overview
The Customer Success Architect (CSA) role is vital in our customer success team, concentrating on alignment, enablement, and growth. This role involves forming consultative, strategic partnerships with key clients by deeply understanding DevSecOps best practices, industry trends, and GitLab’s capabilities to help clients overcome challenges and meet objectives.
CSAs also act as intermediaries connecting customers with GitLab’s ecosystem, collaborating across Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Professional Services to ensure smooth communication and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate pre-sales plans into actionable business outcomes with customers.
- Guide customers using expert knowledge of GitLab platform, common practices, and use cases.
- Manage customer journeys by advising on future adoption strategies.
- Serve as the primary contact for GitLab inquiries, issues, or escalations, liaising with support and product teams.
- Oversee assigned accounts to drive adoption, retention, growth, and satisfaction.
- Stay current with GitLab product updates and releases.
- Lead onboarding sessions and craft Customer Success Plans outlining goals and KPIs.
- Manage account escalations and advise on the relevance of new GitLab features.
- Collaborate with GitLab Services to identify opportunities for customer training.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of Git version control and branching methodologies.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle and deployment pipelines.
- Familiarity with continuous integration, continuous deployment, and DevSecOps principles.
- Prior experience in Customer Success or a similar role focusing on enhancing satisfaction, usage, and client retention.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with customers to define and accomplish business goals.
- Experience working with customer segments relevant to the role.
- Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and writing skills.
- Detail-oriented, analytical mindset, and a self-motivated team player.
- Project management expertise.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Alignment with GitLab’s core values and culture.
- Willingness to travel as per company travel policies.
- Previous progressive experience in customer-facing roles, particularly post-sales or professional services.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is mandatory.
