At Linfox, we harness advanced technology to deliver essential goods and natural resources across Australia for leading industries such as retail, healthcare, government, and defence. Join us to innovate in safety, sustainability, and efficiency within logistics, and build a career that makes a difference.

Job Overview

As a Customer Service Officer, you will be central to daily transportation functions, acting as a reliable point of contact for both customers and drivers to provide timely updates and clear communication. Your duties will vary daily, from tracking critical deliveries using SAP to coordinating with internal teams to resolve freight issues before they affect customers.

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming freight inquiries from customers and suppliers efficiently.
  • Monitor delivery status, manage booking information, and offer practical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships through consistent and dependable communication.
  • Examine transportation documents for accuracy and compliance, promptly addressing any discrepancies.
  • Accurately input data into SAP, Excel, and other company systems.
  • Collaborate closely with drivers, supervisors, and site personnel to ensure smooth operational flow.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is approachable, resilient under pressure, and skilled at managing complex situations calmly and effectively. Prior experience in transport is advantageous but not compulsory; roles requiring customer service or administrative skills with a focus on multitasking and detail are also suitable. Essential attributes include:

  • Experience in customer service or administrative roles, preferably with transport exposure.
  • Excellent communication capabilities paired with a problem-solving attitude.
  • High precision in data entry, reporting, and verifying documents.
  • Quick adaptability to new software, with SAP experience being a plus, although training will be provided.
  • Ability to remain composed when managing several tasks simultaneously under strict deadlines.

Benefits

  • Entitlement to 12 weeks paid parental leave along with a return-to-work bonus for qualifying employees.
  • Opportunities for career growth, supported by mentoring programs.
  • Access to benefits including dining, adventure, travel, as well as health and well-being resources.
  • Work within a high-performing team where your efforts significantly impact the organization.
