Role Overview

As a Customer Delivery Driver representing Tesco, you will be the direct link between our store and customers by delivering orders to their homes. This position involves much more than just driving; it emphasizes customer service, physical activity, and varied tasks throughout your shift. You will often work independently, supported by a team of managers and colleagues at the base.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your delivery van, trays, and work area to guarantee customers receive their shopping in excellent condition.
• Safely load the van and perform all necessary checks to ensure the vehicle is in roadworthy condition and capable of reliable service.
• Communicate clearly and kindly with customers about any adjustments such as order changes, substitutions, or items nearing expiration, offering refunds as necessary to maintain a smooth and positive customer experience.
• Handle all products with care, treating every order as if it were your own to uphold quality and customer trust.
• Deliver orders within the designated customer time slots, providing friendly and approachable service at the doorstep to ensure customers feel valued.

Candidate Requirements

• Foster strong working relationships with colleagues to develop solid team morale and provide excellent customer service.
• Be warm and welcoming both to customers and fellow team members.
• Adapt quickly to changing customer requirements and embrace changes both on the road and in store operations.
• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for a minimum of 12 months with no more than three penalty points.
