About the Role
Join our team as a Customer Assistant working during night hours, contributing to the smooth operation of our store and delivering an excellent customer experience. With over 150 years of serving our local communities, our stores pride themselves on quality food and customer focus. Your role will be vital in preparing the store for the next day, working in a lively team environment, and supporting our commitment to meet customer needs consistently.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the store for daily operations by restocking shelves at a steady pace through the night, handling various product categories efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your work area and ensure aisles and public spaces are tidy and welcoming for customers the following day.
- Transfer stock securely and safely from storage areas to shop floor, including managing heavy equipment and containers.
- Work flexibly across the store, including chilled and frozen sections.
- Utilize equipment, handsets, and digital tools to complete tasks accurately and follow safety protocols.
- Assist in other areas when required, such as picking online orders or operating checkouts after training and gaining confidence.
