Summary
At Lidl Ireland, from the Head Office right through to the shop floor, our focus is on delivering an exceptional customer experience to all who visit our stores. If you have a passion for customer service, thrive on energy, and enjoy learning every day, join us as a Customer Assistant earning over €460 per week on a 30-hour weekly schedule.
Daily Activities
Working as a Customer Assistant involves diverse shifts and responsibilities, including selling alcohol (you must be 18 or older). Shift patterns include:
- Morning shift: Starting at 5am or 6am, you will ensure our award-winning products and bakery items are stocked and ready for customers by opening time.
- Middle shift: Beginning mid-morning or early afternoon, you will maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the store, keep products fresh, assist customers on the shop floor, and operate tills to reduce queue times.
- Late shift: Starting in the afternoon, your duties include delivering excellent customer service at tills, replenishing stock, and preparing the store for the following day.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers in a friendly, polite, and supportive way.
- Follow strict stock loss control procedures throughout the store.
- Maintain high standards of store and external hygiene and cleanliness.
- Adhere to product freshness and stock rotation policies.
- Properly manage all waste disposal processes.
- Assist with stock inventory counts as required.
Essential Qualifications and Traits

- Strong teamwork abilities.
- Previous experience in customer-facing roles is advantageous but not essential if the right attitude is present.

- Year 2: Basic €16.20/hr, Unsocial Hours €20.25/hr, Overtime/Sundays €24.30/hr, Bank Holidays €32.40/hr
- Year 3: Basic €16.90/hr, Unsocial Hours €21.13/hr, Overtime/Sundays €25.35/hr, Bank Holidays €33.80/hr
- Year 4: Basic €17.90/hr, Unsocial Hours €22.38/hr, Overtime/Sundays €26.85/hr, Bank Holidays €35.80/hr
