Role Overview

As a Custodian at Riot, based in our Rockdale, TX facility, you will be essential in preserving a clean, safe, and orderly work environment. Your responsibilities will include regular cleaning tasks such as trash disposal, floor care, office sanitization, restocking of supplies, and upkeep of custodial tools and equipment. This role runs Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, supporting daily operations to ensure pleasant and well-maintained workspaces for employees and visitors.

Primary Duties

• Carry out routine cleaning throughout designated areas, including trash removal, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, supply organization, and equipment maintenance.
• Ensure proper handling, maintenance, and care of cleaning tools and materials, promoting safety and environmental responsibility.
• Perform daily cleaning of windows and general office surfaces.
• Conduct periodic deep cleaning and seasonal or special cleaning assignments.
• Execute any additional tasks as directed.

Candidate Qualifications

• Previous experience in custodial or janitorial services is desirable but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to comprehend and comply with safety regulations and procedures.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Good time management, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Capability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Maintain confidentiality when working in restricted or office areas.

Licensing and Background Checks

• A valid driver's license is required.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check.
• As driving is part of this role, candidates will undergo a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check after a conditional offer and written consent, in line with applicable laws.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for extended durations.
• Capability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work will be onsite in environments such as mining or data center facilities, which may involve exposure to heat and noise.
• Exposure to loud noise levels and temperature fluctuations is expected.

Safety Procedures

• Strict adherence to site safety policies and mandatory use of PPE such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots.
• Proactive identification and reporting of any workplace hazards or unsafe conditions.
• Following OSHA standards and internal safety training rigorously.
• Maintain clear and obstruction-free work areas to ensure accident prevention.
