Job Overview
Aramark Remote Workplace Services is looking for experienced janitorial staff to serve as Off-Site Janitors at a remote lodge near Timmins, Ontario. This role demands solid janitorial expertise combined with familiarity in remote camp settings. A valid driver's license is mandatory, as well as proven knowledge in custodial duties. Maintaining cleanliness is vital to ensuring client satisfaction and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Comply with established safety protocols including OSHA, federal, state, local, and company standards to provide a secure workplace.
- Keep assigned areas clean and well-organized to uphold safety and hygiene standards.
- Properly operate and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Adhere to Aramark and client cleaning standards when servicing areas.
- Handle waste management by storing and disposing trash correctly and transporting it to designated locations.
- Promptly report any maintenance issues via work order submissions to relevant staff.
- Ensure facility security by locking and unlocking buildings as scheduled.
- Protect company property and assets by maintaining secure premises.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred.
- Ability to follow fundamental safety procedures dealing with physical hazards and chemical exposure.
- Maintain a courteous, efficient service attitude towards guests, clients, and teammates.
- Flexible and adaptable to guest and client needs.
- Capable of physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing.
- Willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Additional Details
- Benefit packages offered.
- Transportation to and from Timmins or Cochrane, Ontario provided; travel allowances may be available for more distant locations.
- Work schedule involves 14 days on-site followed by 14 days off.
- Applicants must provide a valid driver's license and driver’s abstract.
- Employment contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and background checks.
