Role Overview

The Curriculum Manager will be responsible for overseeing curriculum planning, coordination, review, implementation, quality assurance, and continuous refinement across academic offerings. This position emphasizes ensuring structured curricula aligned with learning outcomes, supported by appropriate assessments, compliant with academic standards, and seamlessly implemented across educational settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute strategies for curriculum management consistent with institutional goals and academic priorities.
• Lead the processes of curriculum planning, development, review, approval, implementation, and maintenance for academic programs.
• Supervise program structures, course content, learning pathways, prerequisites, and sequencing of curricula.
• Guarantee alignment of curriculum content with program objectives, course outcomes, key competencies, and graduate attributes.
• Conduct periodic curriculum evaluations to identify gaps, redundancies, outdated content, and improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate revisions driven by academic research, industry trends, learner needs, assessment feedback, and stakeholder input.
• Collaborate closely with faculty, academic leaders, subject-matter experts, instructional designers, and assessment professionals.
• Manage curriculum projects throughout all phases—from initiation to approval, execution, evaluation, and revision.
• Set curriculum standards, protocols, templates, review timelines, and governance processes.
• Maintain detailed curriculum maps showing connections between courses, outcomes, competencies, and assessments.
• Oversee reviews of course outlines, syllabi, learning materials, instructional resources, and assessment frameworks to ensure quality and coherence.
• Ensure synchronization between curriculum content, teaching methods, learning activities, and evaluation approaches.
• Coordinate development and updating of program and course documentation.
• Manage curriculum approval workflows and prepare documentation for academic decision-making bodies.
• Work alongside Quality Assurance, Accreditation, Regulatory, and Academic teams for protocol compliance and changes.
• Monitor curriculum implementation across programs, departments, delivery formats, and locations.
• Identify and resolve implementation challenges with academic and operational stakeholders.
• Support the design and development of various delivery modes including face-to-face, online, blended, hybrid, and technology-enriched curricula.
• Assess the integration of digital learning tools, educational technology, simulations, multimedia, and other resources.
• Promote curriculum designs that encourage accessibility, inclusivity, diverse learner needs, and student support mechanisms.
• Manage curriculum development for new programs, revisions, specializations, certificates, and professional learning offerings.
• Evaluate curriculum relevance against evolving industry requirements, workforce trends, technological progressions, and academic innovations.
• Collect and analyze feedback from students, faculty, alumni, employers, professional bodies, and stakeholders.
• Analyze key data such as student achievement, progression, completion, assessment outcomes, and satisfaction to drive curriculum improvements.
• Collaborate with Assessment teams to ensure alignment between learning outcomes and their measurement.
• Coordinate provision of faculty support, training, guidance, and curricular implementation resources.
• Develop detailed implementation plans including communication strategies, timelines, and documentation.
• Oversee curriculum version control, approval histories, effective dates, and change records.
• Define and maintain clear roles and accountability for curriculum upkeep and periodic reviews.
• Manage systems such as curriculum databases, repositories, and curriculum management software.
• Engage external reviewers, consultants, subject-matter experts, and educational partners when necessary.
• Track curriculum-related budgets, resources, timelines, and coordination with external service providers.
• Benchmark curriculum and academic practices against peer institutions and recognized standards.
• Facilitate accreditation processes by providing robust curriculum documentation, maps, review evidence, and records.
