Collaborative teams work across Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, Freight Handling, Customs, Customer Service, and Compliance to ensure smooth international shipment and supply chain operations.
Role Description
This position calls for a meticulous and well-organized Cross Border Logistics Coordinator to oversee global shipping coordination, manage cross-border transport activities, and aid in the effective operation of worldwide supply chains within the company. This role suits professionals in logistics, international trade, freight forwarding, supply chain management, or customs seeking career growth in a fully remote international setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily cross-border logistics and international shipment processes.
- Supervise import/export shipments from origin to destination.
- Liaise with teams in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, Freight, Customs, Customer Support, and Compliance.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, customs agents, and suppliers to meet shipment requirements.
- Prepare and verify documentation for international shipping.
- Track and follow up on shipment status, customs clearance, and delivery schedules.
- Keep logistics records, reports, and operational documents up to date.
- Assist in customs paperwork and ensure trade compliance as needed.
- Monitor logistics key performance indicators and compile management reports.
- Address routine shipment and cross-border logistics issues.
- Maintain organized document control and record-keeping practices.
- Contribute to process improvements in international logistics.
- Promote compliance and efficiency in cross-border transport activities.
- Support logistics and trade-related cross-functional projects.
- Stay current with international shipping laws, Incoterms, and best practices in cross-border logistics.
Candidate Requirements
- Preferably holds a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Possesses 1 to 3 years experience in cross-border logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, customs, or related areas is beneficial.
- Has a solid understanding of international logistics and shipping procedures.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational and communication capabilities.
- Exhibits a keen eye for detail coupled with strong problem-solving skills.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Experience using ERP systems, logistics software, shipment tracking tools, or Microsoft Office suites is advantageous.
- Familiar with customs processes, Incoterms, import/export paperwork, or freight coordination is a plus.
- Capable of working autonomously and collaborating with global teams.
- Experience in UAE or GCC regional logistics is advantageous but not required.
- Additional logistics or international trade certifications are appreciated but optional.
