Role Summary

Reporting to the Manager of Crew Scheduling, the Crew Scheduler operates within the Cargojet Control Centre at the Mount Hope facility. This role involves managing crew schedules, coordinating operational changes, and supporting irregular operations to ensure seamless air cargo services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage crew scheduling duties at the Cargojet Control Centre in YHM through rotating shift patterns.
  • Continuously monitor flight operations to identify and adjust crew requirements accordingly, ensuring appropriate staffing levels are maintained.
  • Coordinate transportation and lodging arrangements during disruptions affecting normal operations.
  • Provide staffing support for short-notice charters and unscheduled flights as needed.
  • Handle phone and email inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Fulfill additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in customer service roles is essential.
  • Previous exposure to flight operations is advantageous.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Canadian Aviation Regulations is a plus.
  • Knowledge of scheduling software such as VMO is desirable.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours and rotating shift patterns is necessary.
  • Ability to perform effectively under time constraints and resource limitations while collaborating in a team setting.
  • Capability to make critical decisions independently under pressure.
