Role Overview
We are looking to appoint a Crane Lift Planner to work from our Gorey, County Wexford office. The role centers on preparing detailed lift plans, Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), and AutoCAD drawings to facilitate safe and efficient crane operations on projects throughout Ireland. While previous experience in lift planning is advantageous, it is not mandatory as full training and mentoring will be provided.
Key Duties
- Developing thorough crane lift plans for various projects.
- Compiling detailed Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Coordinating and planning lifting activities from assessment to implementation.
- Generating, modifying, and reviewing AutoCAD drawings.
- Performing occasional site visits and surveys to evaluate project needs.
- Ensuring all lifting operations meet health and safety legislation, industry standards, and best practices.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient communication abilities in written and spoken English.
- Strong IT proficiency and computer literacy.
- Ability to work autonomously with sound initiative.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Background
- Experience related to engineering, construction, health and safety, crane hire, or lifting operations.
- Skill in preparing technical documents, including RAMS or method statements.
- Knowledge or experience with AutoCAD software.
- Previous engagement with lifting operations or construction site processes.
- Qualifications such as Appointed Person (Lifting Operations) certification.
- Prior industry experience in crane hire is a plus.
