Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a Courier to join our team in Edinburgh. Whether you are newly licensed or bring previous delivery experience, we want to hear from you! In this role, you will represent FedEx by ensuring timely parcel delivery to customers and maintaining high standards of service and safety.
Working Hours and Compensation
You will work 45 hours per week from Monday to Friday, between 07:00 and 17:00, including a one-hour unpaid break. The remuneration is £14.70 per hour with additional premiums for hours worked between 7pm to 10pm and 10pm to 6am.
Key Duties
- Safely collect and deliver parcels and freight to our customer base
- Ensure the security of both the delivery vehicle and shipments during transit
- Execute multi-drop delivery routes efficiently
- Perform mandatory procedural vehicle inspections before operation
- Adhere strictly to all Health and Safety standards and regulations
Candidate Profile
- Must possess a full, valid driving licence (Category B)
- Exemplary customer service skills with a positive and proactive work attitude
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and duties
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, driving regulations, and safe vehicle operation
