About the Role

DHL Express is offering a permanent position for a Courier based at their Southampton Service Centre in Eastleigh (SO50 6NZ). The shift runs Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM with a 30-minute break. This frontline role focuses on delivering and collecting shipments while providing an outstanding customer experience that reflects DHL's dedication to quality and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out deliveries and collections within specified customer timeframes and expectations.
• Represent DHL professionally, ensuring consistent, high-quality customer interactions.
• Develop positive relationships with customers and spot opportunities to support business growth.
• Plan and prioritize your routes daily to complete all assignments on time, adjusting as operational demands change.
• Work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and organization.
• Perform regular vehicle inspections and ensure safe loading, handling, and transport of shipments.
• Log working and driving hours accurately following relevant regulations.
• Adhere strictly to DHL's policies, procedures, and security standards.
• Comply with manual handling guidelines while managing shipments of varying weights and sizes.
• Ensure documentation and data entry are accurate and complete.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and takes pride in delivering superior service while upholding DHL’s values of Can Do, Passion, Speed, and Right First Time. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment are crucial. Experience in customer-facing or multi-drop delivery roles, good route planning skills, and geographical awareness are essential. Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing or able to obtain a digital tachograph card. Physical capability to meet job demands is also required.
