Qualifications & Experience

Candidates must hold a degree in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience as a Quantity Surveyor (PQS). Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Review blueprints and relevant documentation to estimate timeframes, costs, materials, and labor against initial estimates.
• Perform comprehensive quantity surveying tasks including measurements, valuations, and contractual agreement on work segments.
• Apply project management expertise effectively throughout assignments.
• Utilize estimating software packages along with Microsoft Excel and Word proficiently.
• Engage with clients, vendors, internal departments, and construction managers or supervisors to discuss and manage costs.
• Oversee vendor and subcontractor costs, investigating variances and collaborating with management to resolve issues, including cost handling for overseas projects and recovery.
• Prepare reports on actual expenditures versus estimates for use in project planning, organization, and scheduling.
• Generate regular cost and expenditure statements and compile necessary documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
