Role Overview
The Sydney-based Corporate Tax Manager will contribute to a growing tax team, delivering comprehensive tax compliance and advisory services to a broad client spectrum, from sizable institutional groups to intricate private and family enterprises. The firm invests in technology and AI to improve operational efficiency and client and employee experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the firm's portfolio of corporate tax clients, ensuring high-quality tax compliance services.
- Support tax consulting projects by providing customized tax advice to clients.
- Review tax provision calculations for auditing clients.
- Co-lead the corporate tax team by guiding and training junior members and facilitating regular team meetings.
- Act as a mentor and coach through appraisals, goal setting, performance reviews, and continuous staff development.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of six years experience in a similar position, preferably within Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firms.
- A degree in accounting or finance.
- Strong corporate tax expertise with relevant technical knowledge.
- Professionally qualified as a CA or CPA.
- Excellent communication skills, keen attention to detail, and a proactive work style.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work collaboratively as part of a team.
