Role Overview

The Core Engineering Markets team delivers access to a broad and expanding range of global financial markets, including launching new markets and enhancing technical capabilities to improve performance and provide expert market insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and design a high-frequency trading platform for cryptocurrency exchanges, handling quote collection and order dissemination globally.
• Lead, manage, and mentor a worldwide team of developers across multiple regions.
• Collaborate with traders, business leaders, and other stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and implement critical solutions.
• Enhance platform performance through network and systems programming and advanced optimization techniques to reduce latency.
• Create systems for seamless access to historical market data and trading simulations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.
• Over 10 years of professional experience in C++ development, ideally within trading environments.
• Firm track record of leading and mentoring software development teams, especially distributed/global teams.
• Proven capability in designing and delivering sophisticated, high-performance software systems.
• Knowledge of cryptocurrency markets, exchange APIs (WebSocket/HTTP), and cloud platforms is advantageous.
• Strong expertise in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming using C++.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to multitask in fast-paced settings.
• Excellent business English communication; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
• Familiarity with Linux OS and networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP) is beneficial.
• Experience with Python and shell scripting is a desirable bonus.
