About The Role

YMCA Queensland is seeking a dedicated and driven Coordinator for its Bracken Ridge Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) service. This is a full-time role focused on leading a passionate team of educators, designing engaging child-centered programs, and fostering inclusive and vibrant communities for children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the OSHC service efficiently.
  • Design and implement enjoyable, child-led programs that encourage exploration and learning.
  • Provide leadership and support to a team of enthusiastic educators.
  • Maintain high standards of compliance, administrative practices, and safety protocols.
  • Establish strong relationships with families, local schools, and the community.
  • Cultivate an environment where children feel secure, supported, and motivated to develop.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Possession of a Diploma in Children’s Services or related Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC)/Teaching qualification, or be actively studying towards one.
  • Proven experience in children’s programming and managing service operations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership capabilities, and time management skills.
  • Valid paid Blue Card or willingness to obtain one.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to acquire.
  • Strong commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for children of all backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with the National Quality Framework governing childcare services.
