Job description
About the Role
We are seeking an Academic Coordinator to oversee preschool academics and teacher development at our institution in Kolkata. Reporting to the Principal or Academic Head, this role focuses on mentoring and training preschool staff, managing curriculum delivery, and ensuring quality educational standards.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead induction sessions and continuous training programs for newly hired preschool teachers.
- Coach teachers on child-centered teaching methods, classroom management, and activity-based learning techniques.
- Model classroom lessons and activities as examples for teaching staff.
- Implement the preschool curriculum effectively across all classes, aligning with the school's academic framework and age-appropriate learning outcomes.
- Oversee and approve lesson plans ensuring a balanced inclusion of academic content, play, creativity, physical development, and hands-on learning.
- Conduct classroom observations to monitor instructional quality and student engagement, identifying areas for improvement.
- Guide teachers in developing and using engaging worksheets, teaching aids, rhymes, storytelling, and other learning resources.
- Hold regular performance reviews with teachers, identifying training needs and supporting teachers during their initial employment period.
- Collaborate with school leadership and parents to address academic concerns and participate in school events and workshops.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified preschool teacher with robust knowledge of early childhood education.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Proven capability to train, mentor, and enhance teacher performance.
- Experience in curriculum planning, academic coordination, and monitoring preferred.

- Timely and effective curriculum completion.
- Consistent quality of lesson planning.
- Successful onboarding of new teachers.

Compensation
The position offers a monthly salary in the range of 15000 to 25000 INR.
