Job Overview

The Contracts Specialist will provide specialized contractual and commercial assistance throughout the full lifecycle of ADNOC Upstream Onshore projects. This role emphasizes contract management, evaluating risks commercially, supporting tender processes, handling change management and claims, and ensuring all activities comply with ADNOC’s contractual guidelines.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage both pre-award and post-award contract activities, including tendering, bid assessments, contract administration, and negotiation of commercial terms.
  • Handle claims evaluation, variations, contractual correspondence, and resolve commercial disputes effectively.
  • Support contract risk management procedures and utilize SAP MM for contract-related functions.
  • Provide expertise on various contracting methods like EPC, EPCM, and DBO relevant to major capital projects.
  • Oversee contract administration for significant onshore Oil & Gas developments including Early Production Facilities, Well Pads, Gathering Systems, and Central Processing Facilities.
  • Engage in brownfield modifications and manage contracts related to live operating facilities when required.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering; a Master’s Degree is an added benefit.
  • Professional certifications such as PE, CEng or equivalent are preferable.
  • At least 15 years' extensive experience in contract administration and commercial management within Oil & Gas sector.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ exposure working with ADNOC or strong familiarity with ADNOC's contracting and procurement standards.
  • Proven track record in handling large-scale capital projects valued over USD 500 million.
  • Solid experience in both early project phases like FEED, Detailed Engineering and EPC stages within a Project Management Consultancy environment.

Additional Information

Experience in dispute resolution and claims negotiation is essential. Knowledge of major contracting strategies and practical understanding of upstream oil and gas projects, including brownfield developments, is highly regarded.
