Job description
Position Overview
Amey is seeking an on-site Contractor Escort to support maintenance activities at HMP Lincoln. This role is crucial in ensuring planned and reactive maintenance within the prison environment is performed safely, compliantly, and promptly.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct safety and contractor verification checks and actively monitor compliance.
- Perform site induction procedures for contractors and other relevant personnel.
- Provide flexible support across operational functions, including assisting contractors on-site as required.
- Contribute to local and business-level zero carbon initiatives by working strategically and efficiently toward carbon reduction goals where applicable.
- Ensure health and safety standards are maintained consistently throughout the contract.
Candidate Requirements

- Exhibit flexibility, enthusiasm, and commitment to varied tasks and responsibilities.
- Capable of accurately following instructions and adhering to relevant safety policies and procedures.
- Possess a valid full UK driving licence.

- Confidence in identifying and challenging potential risks or compromises to safety.
Applicants must be prepared to undergo Prison Security Clearance, with full support provided throughout the process.
Additional Information
Work hours: Standard workweek consists of 39 hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including an early finish every Friday.
Salary: £27,426 per annum.
