About The Role
This is a permanent full-time position based in Hobart, Tasmania. The role offers a Band 3 base salary starting at $86,266 per annum plus superannuation, with the total remuneration package negotiable depending on the candidate's expertise and experience. The Contract Support Officer will play a key role within the Corporate Category Team, providing administrative support throughout the procurement lifecycle to ensure effective category strategies, consistent compliance, and strong supplier relationships that drive business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Encourage and support adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and frameworks within the organisation.
- Undertake procurement and contract administrative tasks aligned with TasNetworks policies and legal requirements.
- Manage and maintain accurate records, contract registers, and electronic filing systems.
- Track key contract milestones including deliverables, expiry, renewals, insurance, licenses, and compliance obligations.
- Assist in preparing, reviewing, processing, and executing contracts, contract variations, and extensions.
- Coordinate and maintain effective correspondence with internal stakeholders, suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
- Support procurement functions such as quotations, tender documentation, bid evaluations, purchase orders, and contract creation.
- Oversee funding allocation monitoring across panel contracts to ensure proper tracking and compliance.
- Monitor supplier performance, contract deliverables, reporting, and obligations as required.
- Assist with invoice verification and processing to confirm payments match agreed terms and deliverables.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, contract status updates, and briefing materials.
- Identify, report, and escalate risks, issues, discrepancies, and non-compliance matters promptly.
Candidate Profile
- Prior experience in procurement, contract administration, or a related commercial or administrative area.
- Familiarity with procurement processes, particularly within structured or regulated environments is preferred.
- Strong organisational skills capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Demonstrates sound judgment, confidentiality, probity, and integrity in all dealings.
- Comfortable using computer systems and applications or quickly adapting to new tools such as SAP, Ariba, or JIRA Service Management.
- Adaptable and responsive to changing priorities with a collaborative attitude aligned with TasNetworks' core behaviours.
