Role Overview
We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Contract Manager to join our vibrant team located in AlUla, Saudi Arabia. This influential position involves overseeing the entire contract lifecycle, from drafting and negotiation through to contract management and ensuring compliance. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams, vendors, and partners to guarantee adherence to contract terms, protect organizational interests, and support successful project outcomes. Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts with clients, suppliers, and partners to secure favorable conditions and clear agreements.
- Manage contracts throughout projects, ensuring all obligations, company protocols, and legal regulations are rigorously followed.
- Track contract performance and compliance, promptly addressing inconsistencies and potential concerns.
- Perform thorough risk evaluations and devise effective risk mitigation strategies pertaining to contracts.
- Support activities related to claims management, including preparing, assessing, negotiating, and resolving claims with transparency and professionalism.
- Interpret contract clauses and conditions to protect the company's interests and facilitate mutual understanding among all involved parties.
- Collaborate with Project and Department Managers and other internal stakeholders to gather needs and resolve contractual challenges.
- Maintain thorough and organized contract files to ensure accessibility and support audit processes.
- Design and apply streamlined contract management procedures and best practice guidelines to improve operational efficiency.
- Assist in resolving disputes and claims using effective and considerate negotiation tactics.
- Participate proactively during tender stages by offering strategic contributions in proposal preparation and assessment.
- Support financial evaluation and risk assessment activities alongside project leadership to confirm project feasibility.
Required Expertise and Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in contract management or related roles.
- Deep expertise in contract law, commercial practices, and risk management methodologies.
- Proficient knowledge and practical experience with FIDIC Conditions of Contract, HG1, or related standardized contract structures.
- Exceptional English language communication skills, both spoken and written.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven abilities in negotiation and resolving conflicts effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple simultaneous projects and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated capacity to operate autonomously and collaboratively within team settings.
- Experience in managing claims and resolving contract disputes.
- Competence in contract documentation, record maintenance, and compliance oversight.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills to foster productive relationships with vendors, partners, and internal teams.
