The Content Librarian role resides within Roche's Global Digital Hub in Hyderabad, focused on strengthening Roche's worldwide digital capacity through various digital and marketing initiatives. This position involves supporting the management and oversight of digital assets and ensuring compliance through Medical, Legal, Regulatory content approval systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily digital asset operations within the Enterprise Digital Asset Management (DAM) system and Medical, Legal, Regulatory (MLR) approval platform following established workflows and taxonomy.
- Apply and maintain metadata, taxonomy frameworks, naming standards, and appropriate tagging to enhance asset organization, ensure compliance, and improve searchability.
- Handle the uploading, updating, archiving, and deactivation of digital content in line with content lifecycle policies.
- Support approval workflows by maintaining accurate content status, approvals, and related documentation.
- Conduct monitoring of asset records to ensure completeness, metadata correctness, approval progress, and adherence to standards prior to release or reuse.
- Assist coordination between content approval systems and DAM to ensure approved assets are properly managed and accessible for downstream applications.
- Process routine user access permissions and support requests in alignment with governance, control, and escalation protocols.
- Monitor asset expiry, usage rights, and restrictions, and escalate any risks or discrepancies as necessary.
- Respond efficiently to user inquiries related to DAM and MLR procedures, including content search, metadata input, upload processes, and basic platform functions.
- Execute quality assurance checks to verify asset metadata and content accuracy and completeness according to standards.
- Maintain detailed operational documentation, logs, and records on asset management activities, user support, and platform usage.
- Adhere strictly to standard operating procedures, governance mandates, and quality controls to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Identify and escalate irregular issues, process inefficiencies, compliance concerns, and operational bottlenecks to management or relevant stakeholders.
- Drive continuous process improvements by recognizing recurring tagging errors, metadata gaps, workflow challenges, and user support necessities.
- Support onboarding, training reinforcement, and knowledge sharing to assist users with practical operational guidance.
Qualifications and Skills
- A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Information Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferably 3 to 6 years of direct experience in digital asset management, content or martech operations, content administration, or related library/information management roles focused on execution.
- Working knowledge of Digital Asset Management platforms, content approval workflows, Medical-Legal-Regulatory systems, or similar content governance processes is advantageous.
- Understanding of metadata principles, taxonomy design, naming conventions, information organization, and digital asset lifecycle management is essential.
- Demonstrated high attention to detail, strong commitment to data integrity, and compliance in managing digital assets and content.
- Ability to consistently follow established workflows, governance frameworks, and quality standards.
- Excellent organizational capabilities to handle multiple operational requests and tasks in an efficient and structured manner.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, enabling strong user support especially for non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset to identify routine operational issues, maintain high-quality execution, and escalate complex concerns appropriately.
- Familiarity with user access controls, digital rights management, and content governance policies adds value.
- Proficiency with standard business and collaborative software tools; DAM, MLR, or workflow platform experience is a plus.
- Eagerness to learn new tools, processes, and governance protocols in digital content ecosystems.
