Overview

The Trust & Safety team at Google is dedicated to addressing significant challenges to the safety and integrity of Google’s products, including Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. Members of this team leverage deep technical expertise, exceptional problem-solving ability, user-centric insights, and proactive communication skills to protect users and partners from abuse and fraud on a global scale.

Role Summary

As a Content Adversarial Red Team Analyst, you will develop and implement advanced red teaming methodologies to identify and mitigate emerging threats. Collaborating closely with engineers, product managers, and researchers, you will analyze product vulnerabilities and create effective solutions while mentoring junior team members to foster a high-performing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and carry out innovative red teaming strategies to detect new risks and design precise testing frameworks.
  • Work cross-functionally with product teams and technical experts to comprehend product operations and weaknesses, delivering practical recommendations.
  • Mentor and assist junior analysts by sharing specialized knowledge, promoting team excellence.
  • Assess and enhance current programs by developing detailed improvement plans and maximizing their effectiveness.
  • Promote awareness of AI safety principles within Google and across the industry, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of AI technologies and tools.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • At least seven years of experience in data analytics, trust and safety, policy-making, cybersecurity, or related disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Artificial Intelligence, or allied areas.
  • Experience with Google’s product ecosystem, particularly Generative AI offerings.
  • Expertise working with large datasets and data analytics platforms.
  • Understanding of various AI model frameworks and their potential weaknesses.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages, especially those pertinent to Google's global audience.
  • Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and meticulous attention to detail amidst dynamic conditions.
