Consumables Associate

About the Role

As a Consumables Associate at Walmart Canada, you will develop valuable retail skills by supporting the efficient and fast movement of merchandise from storage areas to the sales floor. You will be an essential part of a customer service-focused team, dedicated to maintaining a safe and tidy shopping environment while assisting customers with their product needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly greet every customer and provide friendly assistance.
• Help customers find merchandise, promote products and services, and support their buying decisions.
• Address customer issues and escalate them to management when necessary.
• Keep the sales floor organized by stocking, rotating items, removing damaged or expired goods, setting up displays, and ensuring merchandise is clearly priced and signed.
• Handle claims and returns properly, secure merchandise to prevent loss, identify high-risk shrink items, and maintain a safe workplace following company policies.
• Receive shipments, stock merchandise using equipment safely, complete all required documentation including paperwork and logs.
• Refer specific service or transaction requests to a Customer Service Manager when needed.
• Manage stock including picking, downstocking where applicable; apply product protection as required; set modular displays including flexible modulars and update shelf caps as necessary.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $17.75 CAD.

Qualifications

Minimum: Candidates must be at least 16 years of age.
