About the Role

As a Consumables Associate at Walmart Canada, you will play a vital role in supporting the retail environment by ensuring efficient merchandise flow from the stockroom to the sales floor. This position is well-suited for individuals eager to gain experience in customer service and retail operations, working in a fast-paced and collaborative team setting while maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome all customers with a polite and friendly attitude.
• Assist customers by promoting products and services, helping them locate items, and facilitating their purchasing decisions.
• Address customer concerns effectively and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Maintain the appearance of the sales floor by stocking and rotating products, removing expired or damaged goods, arranging displays, and ensuring accurate pricing and signage.
• Properly manage claims and returns, secure merchandise, identify high shrinkage items, and uphold safety protocols consistent with company policies.
• Receive and stock merchandise appropriately, utilize equipment safely, and complete all necessary paperwork and documentation.
• Refer relevant service and transaction queries to the Customer Service Manager as needed.
• Perform merchandising tasks including stocking, picking, downstocking, applying product protection, and setting displays and modulars, including flexible modulars and new shelf caps.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 16 years or older.

Additional Information

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.10.
