Consumables Associate

Position Overview

Join Walmart Canada as a Consumables Associate and gain valuable experience in the retail sector. This role centers on delivering outstanding customer service while efficiently managing merchandise flow from the store's backroom to the salesfloor. As a vital part of the team, you'll help maintain a safe and orderly environment by stocking, processing merchandise, and assisting shoppers in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome every customer entering the store.
• Support customers by promoting products and services, assisting in finding items, and aiding purchasing decisions.
• Address and resolve customer concerns, escalating issues to management when necessary.
• Keep the salesfloor visually appealing through stocking, rotating inventory, removing damaged or expired products, setting up displays, and pricing merchandise accurately.
• Properly handle claims and returns, secure merchandise, identify high shrink items, and adhere to company policies to maintain a safe workplace.
• Receive and stock deliveries, operate necessary equipment correctly, and manage related documentation and paperwork accurately.
• Refer specialized service or transactions to the Customer Service Manager as needed.
• Engage in stock picking, downstocking when required, apply product protection, and organize modular displays including flex modulars and shelf cap setups.

Additional Information

The starting pay for this position is $17.75 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 16 years old to be eligible for consideration.
