Role Overview

Synax Technologies is looking for a Presales Consultant based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. This role requires acting as the technical expert throughout the sales cycle by developing technical solutions, conducting product demonstrations and proofs-of-concept, and offering technical support to channel partners and enterprise sales teams across the region.

Key Duties

• Collaborate with sales teams throughout the sales process to identify client needs and create bespoke cybersecurity solutions.
• Lead technical presentations, demonstrations, proofs-of-concept, and workshops for prospective and current clients.
• Convert client business and technical requirements into well-structured security solutions.
• Prepare technical proposals and respond promptly to RFPs and RFIs in a professional manner.
• Provide technical support and enablement to distributors, system integrators, and reseller partners.
• Support enterprise sales endeavors throughout Dar es Salaam and the broader Tanzanian cybersecurity market.
• Stay informed of advances in Network Security, Endpoint Security, IAM/PAM, SIEM, SOC, Cloud Security, Data Security, and related technologies.
• Build and maintain trusted advisory relationships with customers and partners.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields.
• Between 5 to 8 years of experience in cybersecurity presales roles within a Value-Added Distributor (VAD), specifically with expertise in the Dar es Salaam market.
• In-depth knowledge of Network Security, Endpoint Security, Identity and Access Management/Privileged Access Management, Security Information and Event Management, Security Operations Centers, Cloud Security, and Data Security technologies.
• Proven skills in solution architecture, technical demonstrations, proofs-of-concept, and client workshops.
• Experience in understanding complex customer requirements and translating them into practical technical solutions.
• Experience collaborating with enterprise sales teams throughout the sales cycle.
• Familiarity with the channel ecosystem, including distributors, system integrators, and reseller partners.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Expertise in preparing technical proposals and responding to formal requests such as RFPs and RFIs.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
