Job description
Overview
Join KPMG Canada, a leading professional services firm, where your unique insights help solve Canada's most significant challenges. Here, you will build momentum that extends beyond the business, sharpen future-ready skills, and take control of your career with robust support at every stage.
We are seeking a Life Actuarial Consultant to become a valued member of our actuarial practice. You'll be engaged in a variety of client-facing projects, working alongside insurance companies in Canada, the US, and the Caribbean to address complex business and actuarial issues that support their strategic and operational success.
Role Responsibilities
- Contribute to actuarial modeling activities to support client needs.
- Participate in financial reporting and aid regulatory transformations within the insurance sector.
- Provide specialized actuarial assistance for insurance company audits.
- Opportunity to expand expertise into other actuarial domains including total rewards, pension plan valuations, and property and casualty insurance.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant holds a university degree and is actively progressing towards a recognized actuarial credential such as ACIA or FCIA. At least two years of actuarial experience is required.
English proficiency, both written and verbal, is essential due to the nature of interpreting legislation, guidelines, and standards, servicing English-speaking clients across Canada, and collaborating with colleagues outside Quebec.
Compensation and Career Development
The Ontario regional salary range for this role spans from $68,000 to $113,000 annually, coupled with potential bonuses. Final salary placement depends on factors including geographic location, skills, competencies, and qualifications. Comprehensive total rewards and an actuarial student program are provided to support exam progression while gaining practical experience.
