Consultant Breast Radiologist

Job Summary

We are inviting applications for the role of Consultant Breast Radiologist based in Dubai, UAE. The selected professional will deliver expert breast imaging and diagnostics, collaborating closely with breast surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, and multidisciplinary teams to provide precise diagnoses and comprehensive care for patients.

Key Duties

• Conduct and analyze mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and other breast imaging modalities.
• Assess breast images for benign or malignant abnormalities through screening and diagnostic studies.
• Execute and interpret diagnostic mammography techniques including tomosynthesis and contrast-enhanced imaging when available.
• Perform image-guided breast interventions such as ultrasound-guided, stereotactic, and MRI-guided biopsies if appropriately credentialed.
• Carry out image-guided localization procedures for surgical planning.
• Evaluate breast irregularities including masses, calcifications, architectural distortions, and asymmetries.
• Generate precise and prompt radiology reports following standardized breast imaging protocols and BI-RADS classification.
• Engage in breast cancer screening and early detection initiatives.
• Correlate imaging results with clinical history, pathology, and prior studies.
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary tumor boards with surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, and other experts.
• Advise on the necessity for additional imaging, biopsies, or follow-up assessments.
• Ensure thorough clinical documentation aligned with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement projects, research activities, and Continuous Medical Education.
• Oversee and guide junior radiologists and trainees as applicable.
• Maintain strict compliance with patient safety, infection control, radiation safety, and clinical governance standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• MBBS or MD, or equivalent medical degree awarded by a recognized institution.
• Completion of accredited postgraduate training in Diagnostic Radiology.
• Fellowship or advanced subspecialty training specifically in Breast Imaging or Breast Radiology from an accredited body.
• Board Certification or recognized Consultant-level radiology qualification.
• At least five to ten years of post-specialization Consultant experience with substantial expertise in breast imaging.
• Eligible for or holder of a Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Consultant License; candidates meeting licensing criteria are encouraged to apply.
• Proficient in mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, breast biopsy techniques, and image-guided breast interventions.
• Strong clinical decision-making abilities, clear communication skills, and capability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
