Position Summary

The role of Construction Labourer is available in County Roscommon, Ireland, within SEED Environmental's growing operations team. The position involves partnering with a Team Leader to execute on-site tasks predominantly at homeowner properties across the Republic of Ireland. This role includes responsibilities related to building, remediation, reinstatement, and OFTEC works, with on-the-job training and career growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute site operations under supervision of Team Leader and Contracts Manager.
• Contribute to spill response procedures including manual excavation for contaminated soil removal.
• Operate machinery and power tools to perform intrusive construction tasks.
• Maintain site cleanliness and safety, recognize hazards, and promote a controlled working environment.
• Assist in servicing and upkeep of machinery, reporting any operational issues.
• Document work progress through photographic evidence.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols.
• Demonstrate initiative and apply skills appropriately throughout tasks.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Previous hands-on experience on construction sites with an understanding of safety standards.
• Holding a full European Union driving license.
• Capability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• A positive outlook, flexible mindset, and readiness to adapt to a diverse and sometimes challenging environment.
• Self-motivated and proactive in initiating necessary actions.
• Possession of a basic Irish Garda Clearance check.
• Legal eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home as required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in operating plant machinery.
• Background exposure to remediation activities.
• Holding a CSR/CSCS safety certification card.
• Experience in demolition, construction, or landscaping fields.

Salary and Benefits

The annual salary offered ranges between €27,000 to €32,000 depending on experience. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm on-site. Overtime is compensated at a premium rate when applicable. Staff benefit from holiday entitlements gradually increasing from 20 to 25 days plus bank holidays, enrollment in a company pension plan, life insurance at twice the annual salary, enhanced sick leave after qualification, employee assistance programs, as well as overnight allowances and reimbursement of reasonable expenses incurred during away assignments.
