About the Role

Our client, a respected construction company in Marleston, South Australia, is actively searching for an experienced Sales & Estimator to enhance their expanding team. This vital leadership position involves managing client consultations, conducting site quotations, creating precise project estimates, and driving business growth. The role focuses on residential and commercial renovations, extensions, and home lift installations, operating as the prominent representative of the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, follow up on, and convert new sales leads within the residential construction and renovation sectors.
• Perform professional site visits to measure projects and thoroughly understand client needs and expectations.
• Develop detailed, accurate, and profitable quotations for renovation, extension, and home lift projects.
• Uphold strict pricing policies to avoid under-quoting and safeguard profit margins.
• Oversee the entire sales cycle from initial inquiry, quotation, and client follow-up through negotiation to handover to the Project Management team.
• Maintain meticulous client records, track quotations, and update CRM systems regularly.
• Work closely with Project Managers to ensure the scope quoted aligns perfectly with onsite delivery.
• Spot and suggest valid upselling possibilities while ensuring open client communications.
• Keep abreast of local market pricing, competitor activities, and industry standards in Adelaide.
• Consistently meet predefined monthly and quarterly sales conversion goals.
• Represent the company professionally in all client meetings and industry events.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least five years of authentic experience in construction estimating and sales, primarily focused on residential renovations.
• Proven capability to produce accurate and profitable project quotes, a mandatory criterion.
• Comprehensive knowledge of residential renovation costs regarding labor, materials, and site-specific variables.
• Effective and confident communication skills for managing and setting clear client expectations politely and firmly.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a strict policy against careless under-quoting.
• Strong ability to work autonomously, handle leads, and prioritize workload efficiently.
• Competency with estimating software, Microsoft Office suite, and fundamental CRM tools.
• Possession of a valid Australian driver's license and access to a dependable vehicle for site visits.
