About the Role

A nationally recognized construction company is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join their expanding team. This position is vital in assisting management to bid on or price projects by preparing detailed cost estimates. Key Responsibilities

• Gather proposals, blueprints, specifications, and relevant documents to prepare accurate estimates.
• Analyze the requirements for labor, materials, and time based on project documents.
• Calculate costs considering labor, materials, and scheduling needs.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies by collecting and interpreting data.
• Develop comprehensive bids by compiling raw data and summarizing final estimates.
• Maintain and update cost databases, ensuring data integrity through backups.
• Support team objectives by contributing to related efforts as necessary.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to strict deadlines.
• Collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors throughout the estimating process.

Qualifications and Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a construction estimator specializing in big box, retail, warehouse, cold storage, and ground-up construction projects.
• Proven success preparing bids for major retail chains such as Costco, Sam's Club, Walmart, and Target.
• Proficient with construction software tools including Bluebeam and Procore.
• Strong analytical and mathematical capabilities.
• Extensive understanding of construction materials, techniques, and equipment.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to interpret and comprehend technical documents and blueprints thoroughly.
• Exceptional precision and attention to detail.
• A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
