Role Overview
This role involves delivering a professional concierge service to site visitors and customers at Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria. The position centers on simplifying and enhancing user experience through welcoming interaction and support.
Working Details
- Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria
- Salary: £12.71 per hour
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 06:00 to 14:30
- Contract: Full-time, permanent

Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet all building occupants and guests promptly and professionally
- Maintain a positive and professional image for both internal and external stakeholders
- Build and sustain strong rapport with clients and end users
- Familiarize with and understand the client's core business offering
- Ensure the reception and concierge areas meet safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards, including adherence to a clear desk policy
- Provide general information such as transport options, taxi booking, parking, and local amenities
- Comply with security protocols and maintain confidentiality
- Manage incoming and outgoing deliveries
- Perform routine office duties including administrative tasks, meeting room management, mail handling, printing, photocopying, faxing, travel arrangements, and event coordination
- Oversee office inventory such as stationery and equipment
- Follow up on assigned work orders, update statuses, and ensure completion in coordination with other teams
- Communicate regularly with designated building representatives to ensure service satisfaction
Candidate Profile
- Experience in customer service roles is essential
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with various organizational levels
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
- Efficient in organizing and prioritizing tasks
- Proficient computer skills for daily operations
- Strong interpersonal skills with attentive listening and behavioral awareness
