Compliance Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking a diligent and accountable Compliance Manager to lead our compliance initiatives ensuring all business operations comply with current laws, regulations, internal policies, and industry norms. This role encompasses the development, upkeep, and monitoring of compliance frameworks while fostering a culture grounded in integrity and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with various departments such as legal, risk management, finance, operational units, and senior leadership to identify and understand compliance obligations.
• Assess and monitor compliance risks, evaluating internal processes and establishing appropriate controls to mitigate those risks.
• Conduct thorough compliance reviews and audits, document findings, support corrective measures, and maintain comprehensive compliance records and reports.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure timely incorporation of such changes into policies and procedures.
• Support internal and external audits and investigations related to compliance matters.
• Prepare detailed compliance reports and coordinate any necessary corrective actions to address identified issues.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Law, Compliance, Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields.
• Extensive understanding of compliance concepts, regulatory environments, corporate governance, and internal control mechanisms.
• Competence in interpreting complex legislation, regulatory mandates, and industry standards, with the ability to apply these as practical business controls.
• Proficient in compliance monitoring, risk evaluation, policy creation, and control enforcement.
• Capability to identify risks in compliance, evaluate their impacts, and propose effective mitigation approaches.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with acute attention to detail.
• Experienced in conducting compliance assessments, assisting audits, and managing documentation and reporting.
• Familiarity with regulatory documentation, reporting requirements, and compliance oversight methods.
• Knowledge of risk management, anti-bribery, data privacy, and ethical business practices is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills for clear explanation of complex regulatory concepts and effective teamwork with senior leaders and cross-functional groups.
