Overview

Qatar Airways invites applications for the role of Compensation Manager to be based in Doha, Qatar. This position is integral to the Human Resources team, tasked with overseeing the design, execution, and management of compensation and mobility initiatives throughout the Qatar Airways Group. The role demands driving global compensation standards while ensuring local market competitiveness and alignment with corporate goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to formulate and implement the Group’s Reward & Benefits strategy and annual action plans, aligning these with organizational objectives, workforce needs, and fiscal limits.
  • Lead and govern compensation and benefits frameworks, ensuring legal compliance and cohesive policies across international branches.
  • Track labor market developments, employment trends, and regulation changes to proactively refine reward frameworks and program offerings.
  • Manage yearly compensation processes including salary evaluations, incentive scheme administration, and reward programs to foster a fair and competitive remuneration structure.
  • Conduct internal and external benchmarking, salary surveys, and market research, analyzing data to guide compensation strategy and decision-making.
  • Design, review, and provide counsel on incentive reward plans to ensure they support organizational objectives and comply with policy and legal standards.
  • Offer expert guidance and consultation on compensation, benefits, regional assignments, and reward-related initiatives to senior executives and HR stakeholders.
  • Ensure uniform application of Reward & Benefits policies worldwide, encourage best practice sharing, and continuous enhancement across locations.
  • Represent Qatar Airways in industry forums such as the Airline Personnel Directorate Conference and other professional reward benchmarking groups.
  • Serve as the primary consultant to managers on compensation and benefits matters, facilitating informed business and personnel decisions.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification accompanied by a minimum of six years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proven background in compensation, rewards, or related HR roles, ideally with experience in international reward practices.
  • In-depth understanding of remuneration principles, Reward & Benefits policies, and associated legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build effective relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of interpreting complex data and developing actionable insights.
  • A consultative mindset with demonstrated influence and stakeholder engagement experience on intricate reward matters.
  • Proficient negotiation, relationship management, and decisive decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multicultural and cross-functional teams while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Knowledge of international payroll and tax regulations is advantageous.
