Role Overview

The Community Specialist is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences and expert product education while authentically representing lululemon's community and culture. This role also supports local community engagement strategies through relationship building, events, product seeding, and attendance at relevant studios. The specialist manages and grows relationships with brand Ambassadors and key community partners to enhance guest acquisition and retention, acting as a vital link between the store and its community.

Core Responsibilities

  • Engage with guests to ensure courteous and efficient service respecting their time.
  • Identify guest needs to offer tailored purchasing and return solutions.
  • Deliver detailed technical product insights, emphasizing value and performance benefits.
  • Assist the floor team in catering to guest requirements effectively.
  • Support seamless transactions and implement local omnichannel initiatives (e.g., ship-from-store) adhering to standards.
  • Maintain an active presence on the sales floor to assist guests and address store demands.
  • Collect guest feedback, collaborate with leadership to resolve issues and enhance service.
  • Partner with store leaders to actualize community strategies and enrich guest experiences.
  • Champion the Move Strategy, aligning with community and brand objectives.
  • Organize team participation in targeted fitness classes to foster genuine connections and brand visibility.
  • Build and sustain local relationships with Ambassadors, Sweat Collective members, studio owners, and influencers to boost guest engagement.
  • Identify future community partnerships and opportunities for store prominence.
  • Support and participate in local and regional community events.
  • Implement product seeding initiatives via community collaborators.
  • Analyze community-related business data to advise on events and initiatives.
  • Promote a respectful, inclusive, and enjoyable environment among team members.

Qualifications & Eligibility

  • Legal authorization to work in the country of the store.
  • Reliable transportation to commute to the assigned store.
  • Minimum of one year retail or sales experience.
  • Active involvement in the local fitness and wellness community with authentic networks and insights.
  • Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valued experience includes client relations, group or partner engagement, and team motivation.

Work Schedule & Environment

  • Schedules vary per store requirements, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • During peak periods or special events, shifts may extend to early mornings or late nights as per local laws.
  • Work environments include retail floors with bright lighting and loud music, as well as community venues.
  • Tasks involve building relationships, community partnership development, event participation, and possible physical activities such as lifting up to 30 lbs or using ladders.
  • Work occurs both individually and collaboratively using computers or technical devices.
