About the Role and Employer Values
Join the NHS Ayrshire & Arran as a Specialist Physiotherapist with our Central Community Team based at Sime Place, Galashiels. This part-time, fixed-term position (36 hours per week, Band 6) is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and innovative physiotherapist dedicated to person-centered care that promotes wellbeing and independence in the community.
Core Responsibilities
You will contribute your broad postgraduate experience across multiple specialties such as medical, stroke/neurology, orthopaedics, care of the elderly/rehabilitation, and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. The role includes providing services within the Central Allied Health Professional community team and supporting intermediate care at Garden View, the Home First Service, and community long-term condition outpatient services. The Home First Service focuses on short-term home-based interventions aimed at reablement to maximize independence post-hospital discharge and to reduce hospital admissions.
Professional Development
Ongoing development through continuous professional development (CPD), appraisals, and in-service training is essential and actively supported.
