Role Overview
The Community Associate serves as the primary face for WeWork’s community, reporting daily to support the Community Management team within the building. This role centers on nurturing a welcoming environment, driving operational efficiency, and promoting WeWork’s services while embodying our core values.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate a collaborative community by engaging members through events and relationship-building.
- Maintain building operations, ensuring process efficiency and smooth facility functioning.
- Promote WeWork service offerings and support growth initiatives.
- Assist Community Management with various tasks as directed.
- Manage front desk operations during business hours as a visible point of contact.
- Warmly welcome members and guests, managing visitor sign-in procedures.
- Build rapport with members, anticipating their needs to personalize experiences.
- Maintain up-to-date building-specific documentation and keep the front desk organized.
- Notify members of deliveries and couriers promptly.
- Answer inquiries related to building navigation, policies, and etiquette.
- Provide feedback on events and programming effectiveness and assist in event promotion.
- Celebrate member milestones with thoughtful gestures.
- Coordinate operational requirements for events and manage communications about building updates.
- Handle mail processing, sorting, and mailroom organization, including managing keys and key cards.
- Ensure proper use of emergency equipment and provide support for automated coffee machines.
Candidate Profile
- Preferred college graduate, though a degree is not mandatory.
- At least one year of experience in hospitality.
- Customer service or sales experience is advantageous.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Demonstrates integrity, dependability, accountability, and compassion.
- Passionate about nurturing entrepreneurial communities and aligned with WeWork’s mission and values.
- Proficient with basic computer operations.
