Position Overview

This role involves preparing special meals or substitute dishes while managing cooking equipment temperatures including ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Responsibilities also include thawing frozen food in refrigerators, portion control, garnishing dishes appropriately, maintaining food logs, and overseeing the quality and quantity of food prepared.

Key Duties

• Communicate effectively to request help during busy times.
• Notify the Chef about surplus food for daily specials.
• Inform Food & Beverage staff about menu specials and unavailable items.
• Ensure food is prepared and presented according to recipe and quality standards.
• Prepare cold food items.
• Support management by assisting in recruitment, training, scheduling, and employee evaluations.
• Participate in employee counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching, acting as a positive role model.
• Adhere strictly to all safety, security policies and procedures; report hazards and complete safety training.
• Maintain professional personal appearance and confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Anticipate and fulfill guest service needs with clear and professional communication.
• Cultivate positive teamwork and address colleague concerns appropriately.
• Comply with quality expectations and standards consistently.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking for extended periods, bending, twisting, lifting up to 25 pounds, and other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical, Trade, or Vocational School degree preferred.
• At least three years of relevant culinary experience required.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• No licenses or certifications mandatory.
