Position Overview

This role involves preparing cooking ingredients such as measuring, chopping, and storing food items. Responsibilities include washing and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables, weighing and mixing components, and cooking meals according to predefined recipes, quality benchmarks, and presentation guidelines. The role requires operating kitchen equipment like ovens, grills, microwaves, and fryers, testing dishes for proper doneness, ensuring food quality throughout preparation, and managing the work station setup and breakdown.

Key Duties

• Portion and prepare ingredients for cooking.
• Clean and prepare fresh produce.
• Follow recipe instructions and maintain presentation and quality standards.
• Use and monitor kitchen appliances to cook food effectively.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, tools, and equipment.
• Ensure correct temperatures of food and appliances.
• Serve food portions appropriately.
• Adhere to safety, security policies, and report hazards or maintenance needs.
• Maintain professional appearance and communicate clearly.
• Support teamwork and address coworkers' concerns constructively.
• Meet physical demands of standing, sitting, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, twisting, and other manual tasks throughout shifts.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of relevant work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No licenses or certifications mandated.
