CNC Programmer

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Punching Programmer to join our sheet metal fabrication and furniture manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have substantial expertise in CNC Turret Punching Machines, sheet metal programming, nesting techniques, and production optimization to enhance manufacturing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop CNC punching programs in alignment with production blueprints.
• Design and refine sheet nesting layouts to reduce material waste effectively.
• Interpret AutoCAD and fabrication drawings accurately.
• Choose appropriate punches, dies, and tooling for each component process.
• Program complex operations including punching, notching, slotting, perforation, and forming.
• Sequence punching tasks to boost productivity while preventing sheet deformation.
• Create programs for various materials such as MS, CRCA, GI, and stainless steel sheets.
• Collaborate with CNC turret punching machine operators for seamless job setup and production.
• Verify component dimensions and ensure precision in punching operations.
• Update and adjust programs as necessary based on production insights.
• Maintain organized program documentation and revision logs.
• Monitor and enhance sheet usage efficiency and nesting procedures.
• Assist in resolving programming and tooling related technical issues.
• Coordinate activities with bending, laser cutting, and other fabrication departments.

Candidate Profile

• Comprehensive experience with CNC Turret Punching programming.
• Proficient with nesting and sheet metal CAD/CAM software tools.
• Strong grasp of sheet metal part development and interpreting fabrication drawings.
• Knowledgeable about punches, dies, tooling clearances, and CNC machine constraints.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Capability to independently generate production-ready CNC programs.

Additional Details

• Preferred experience: Minimum of 5 years in a related role.
• Educational qualifications: ITI or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Tool & Die, CNC, or allied technical courses.
• Industry preference: Professionals experienced in sheet metal furniture, cabinets, lockers, storage units, and precision fabricated items will be favored.
