About SSMC and Role Overview

Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte. Ltd. (SSMC) is a joint venture between NXP and TSMC, dedicated to delivering flexible and cost-effective semiconductor fabrication with a fully equipped SMIF cleanroom, comprehensive equipment automation, and proven wafer manufacturing processes. We are seeking a CMP Equipment Engineer to join our Diffusion (CMP) Department, contributing to the enhancement and support of semiconductor equipment operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the performance metrics of all equipment to align with operational objectives.
• Participate in shift rotations to support continuous production operations.
• Maximize equipment uptime and reliability through scheduled and corrective maintenance activities.
• Manage equipment performance indices to achieve Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) targets.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and the company's Quality Management Systems.
• Anticipate and set inventory levels for spare parts and consumables within budget constraints to support manufacturing needs.
• Develop and maintain standardized preventive maintenance Operating Instructions (OI) to ensure consistent equipment practices.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to Assistant Engineers to keep their technical skills current amid evolving technology.
• Propose enhancements aimed at improving equipment capability, reliability, or cost efficiency.
• Engage in Continuous Improvement Teams (CIT) or task forces focused on optimizing equipment performance and Cost of Ownership (COO).
• Lead startups of new equipment to facilitate production ramp-up, including facility connections, vendor coordination, and equipment acceptance.
• Create documentation for corrective actions and Best-Known Methods to improve troubleshooting efficiency.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards and enforce safety practices within work areas.

Qualifications and Desired Profile

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering; alternatively, a Diploma in Mechatronics, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering with minimum 4 years semiconductor equipment maintenance experience.
• Between 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing; fresh degree holders are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in high vacuum maintenance.
• Basic understanding of semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment and processes.
• Ability to interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics.
• Strong team-oriented mindset.
• Demonstrates a high level of responsibility.
