Cloud Operations Engineer

About the Role

Laserfiche is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to collaborate closely with development teams to maintain excellence in quality, security, maintenance, and availability of Cloud products. This role supports continuous improvement of DevOps integration processes. The engineer oversees deployment, monitoring, and maintenance to ensure peak performance of all cloud-based systems.

Working within the 24/7 Cloud Operations team, the role involves maintaining cloud infrastructure, managing incident responses, and contributing efforts to enhance system availability, scalability, reliability, and security for the company's SaaS cloud services hosted on AWS.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously track the health and performance of Laserfiche Cloud services and intervene as needed to resolve issues, such as restarting services, adjusting system capacity, or modifying process priorities.
• Detect and investigate security events and unusual activities within the cloud environment.
• Assist developers and technical support teams with troubleshooting technical problems.
• Create and maintain monitoring dashboards to provide visibility into system operations.
• Manage installation of OS and third-party software patches and updates to keep systems current.
• Perform other system administration tasks as required, including disk extension and maintenance.

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• At least 4 years experience in operations preferred.
• Basic proficiency with AWS, Azure, or other public cloud platforms is required; AWS knowledge is highly preferred.
• Intermediate ability in administering Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Foundational understanding of computer networking concepts.
• Proficiency in scripting using PowerShell and Bash.
