Overview

Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital is seeking a qualified Clinical Pharmacist to become a full-time permanent member of our Pharmacy team. Located in Anlaby near Humber Bridge, our hospital serves patients across East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire, offering diverse services including orthopaedics, general and cosmetic surgeries, radiology, and physiotherapy. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exemplary pharmacy services aligned with current laws, professional ethics, and clinical standards.
  • Provide expert advice and support regarding the safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication use to consultants, clinicians, and patients.
  • Advise on safe medicine management ensuring legislative compliance and adherence to professional guidelines.
  • Foster a collaborative, patient-centered multidisciplinary approach to healthcare service delivery.

Candidate Requirements

  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) without restrictions or conditions.
  • Preferably possess at least two years of post-graduate hospital experience at ward level.
  • Clinical diploma is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and commitment to exemplary patient care.
  • Willingness to participate in a one-in-four on-call rota and occasional Saturday shifts.

Working Hours & Benefits

  • Standard work schedule of 37.5 hours weekly, Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm, with some Saturday morning duties on a rotating basis.
  • On-call duty approximately once every four weeks.
  • Competitive salary aligned to Band 8a equivalent with a joining bonus of £3000 subject to terms.
  • Annual leave entitles 35 days including bank holidays.
