Job description

Overview

The Strategic Research team is integral to Guidepoint’s operations, responsible for delivering tailored services to clients across the Asia-Pacific region. This team comprehends clients’ specific business challenges, offering crucial insights to support informed decision-making.

As an Associate within this team, your primary focus will be connecting clients with expert Advisors from various industries in the United States. You will conduct thorough industry research related to client projects and recruit top-tier subject matter experts to enrich our network, ensuring client requirements are comprehensively met. Collaboration with Project Managers and Research Managers located in South Korea is essential.

This position involves working a 4:30 PM to 1:00 AM IST shift to accommodate global partners. Initially remote, the role will transition to a hybrid setup based in Mumbai or Gurugram, requiring several office days per week, with flexibility offered to ease this change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze client research requests and employ diverse tools to identify suitable subject matter experts spanning various locations, industries, and subjects.
  • Engage potential Advisors via phone, professional networks, and outreach initiatives to expand the Guidepoint expert community, emphasizing the relevance of their expertise for specific projects.
  • Evaluate expert qualifications to ensure alignment with client needs and compile polished professional profiles for client review.
  • Cultivate a cooperative team environment by maintaining strong interactions with fellow Guidepoint staff, global offices, and Advisors.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree with a solid academic record.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Confident and personable communication style, capable of engaging with professionals at varied levels.
  • Interest in sourcing and lead generation activities.
  • High intellectual curiosity with a commitment to ongoing learning.
  • Strong organization and time management abilities.
  • Capability to operate effectively both independently and collaboratively.
  • Adaptability to fast-paced, entrepreneurial settings.
