About the Role
Join a leading technology services firm dedicated to innovation and client success. As a Cloud Client Partner, your main focus will be to identify, develop, and close deals related to cloud managed services and outsourcing. Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, you will leverage consulting sales expertise to engage decision-makers across industries and tailor solutions that meet their unique needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate demand and drive sales of cloud managed service offerings by identifying client needs and articulating value.
- Address client concerns about adopting cloud managed services and balance sales efforts between current clients and new prospects.
- Collaborate effectively with regional teams, partners, vendors, and internal departments like Offer Management and Delivery to advance opportunities.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with client leadership, delivering client-centric solutions informed by deep understanding of the managed services market and client industries.
- Design commercial proposals for managed services deals, negotiate contractual terms, mitigate risks, and ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Manage a sales pipeline with strategic plans targeting new logos, upselling, cross-selling, and client retention.
- Ensure accurate data reporting and lead account management to drive successful deal closures.
- Share best practices and knowledge internally to enhance the company’s service offerings and client awareness.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure concepts and platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Understanding of cloud services including managed services, support, consulting, and technical services with the ability to articulate their value to clients.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure elements such as servers, storage, virtualization, and data centers.
- Familiarity with networking concepts in cloud environments and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Financial acumen to interpret statements, metrics, and negotiate profitable business deals.
- Legal knowledge to manage contract negotiations and address risks.
- Awareness of cloud security best practices like IAM, encryption, data protection, and compliance standards.
- Strong business acumen, problem-solving skills, and client-centric approach.
- Ability to independently identify opportunities and work collaboratively across teams.
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical or sales-related field.
- Desirable certifications include Solution Selling, SPIN Selling, Scotwork negotiation skills.
- Relevant technical certifications such as Azure Fundamentals (AZ900), AWS Cloud Practitioner, VMware VTSP, or ITIL v3 or later are preferred.
Experience
- Proven success in selling complex managed services solutions to large enterprise clients, typically involving C-suite engagement.
- Experience structuring multi-year, profitable contracts.
- Strong track record of nurturing senior client relationships and networking within specialized domains.
- Comprehensive experience managing end-to-end sales, contracting, and legal processes.
- Deep knowledge of market dynamics and strategies for market penetration.
