Job description

Company Overview

ClearSky specializes in creating tailor-made software and AI solutions. The company has moved away from traditional high-volume, cold outreach sales tactics, opting instead for a commercial strategy grounded in trust, authority, and authentic human relationships. Success comes from direct engagement, emphasizing 'being in the room' with prospects.

Role Summary

We are seeking a motivated, relationship-centric Client Partner to join either our Edinburgh or Glasgow offices. Rather than mass outreach, you will manage a highly curated list of elite prospects in Financial Services and regulated sectors, focusing on cultivating genuine relationships and building trust. The technical team supports you by handling technical deep-dives and solution design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own a targeted portfolio of high-value prospects (organizations with £25 million+ revenue), guiding them from initial contact through to active collaboration.
  • Engage in industry events, host exclusive dinners, and arrange informal meetings focused on building trust without aggressive selling tactics.
  • Interact with enterprise decision-makers to lead pre-sales discovery sessions and facilitate strategic meetings for the technical and leadership teams.
  • Steer senior executives towards our complimentary Future Labs Workshops—customized discovery sessions where technical leaders assist with AI and software roadmapping.
  • Maintain straightforward tracking of relationship milestones and forthcoming steps.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience in trust-based selling within B2B environments, such as business development, account management, or strategic partnerships; preference for tech or professional services backgrounds, but strong interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to build confidence and trust with senior leaders in complex, enterprise organizations.
  • Enthusiastic about networking face-to-face and developing long-lasting relationships.
  • Committed to a value-first approach, avoiding premature hard selling to establish genuine rapport for future opportunities.
  • Driven by clear quarterly targets and motivated by a commission-based reward system.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive base salary up to £45,000, supplemented by a target-driven commission and up to 10% bonus.
  • Generous holiday allowance of 34 days, including your birthday off.
  • Comprehensive private medical, dental, and wellbeing support.
  • Enhanced parental and family leave policies.
  • Hybrid working arrangement based in Edinburgh or Glasgow, with flexibility to accommodate evening networking or hosted dinners without the expectation of the next day morning log-in.

Additional Information

ClearSky is experiencing a dynamic growth phase prioritizing energetic, relationship-focused commercial strategies. This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious individual aiming for significant ownership and impactful, visible contributions in a trust-centric sales environment.
