Role Overview
As a Client Executive within our planning team, you will be instrumental in crafting, implementing, and refining integrated media campaigns. Collaborating closely with senior planners and client teams, you'll translate client goals into compelling media strategies and support the full campaign lifecycle — from development and buying to trafficking, optimization, reporting, and analysis.
This role suits a media professional with 12 to 18+ months agency experience seeking deeper campaign responsibility, enhanced knowledge of the Australian media environment, and advancements in client and strategic planning expertise. You'll work alongside activation teams, media partners, and specialists, leveraging data and market intelligence to seize opportunities and boost client outcomes.

- Participate actively in weekly working-in-progress meetings to proactively address potential challenges within client portfolios.
- Design clear, coherent media plans that align with client timing, budget, and objectives, understanding the strengths and limitations of different media channels.
- Utilize research and market data (e.g., Netratings, Market Intelligence, ComScore, Roy Morgan, AdRelevance) to enhance planning and trading effectiveness.
- Manage day-to-day implementation ensuring media purchases and delivery meet the plan and client expectations.
- Create schedules and manage deliverables, including reporting and deadlines, coordinating with creative agencies and publishers.
- Collaborate with activation teams for partner briefings and responses, leveraging market knowledge to support negotiations and ensure proper delivery through trading processes.
- Operate proficiently with third-party ad serving tools such as DoubleClick and Sizmek and assist leadership in defining ROI tracking approaches for campaigns.
- Monitor and optimize campaigns regularly to maximize budget use and performance efficiency.
- Prepare and deliver campaign performance reports that link results to strategic goals, identifying and executing optimizations promptly.
- Assist senior planners in generating post-campaign analyses highlighting media effectiveness, market trends, insights, and future recommendations.
- Oversee budget management, reconcile campaign delivery, verify invoices, and promptly address account queries.
- Maintain detailed records of financial changes and complete buying documentation after each campaign plan, advising on reinvestment or return of savings.
Experience & Skills Required
- 12 to 18 months or more experience in media planning within an agency setting.
- Thorough understanding of the Australian media environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
